Day 1

Departing from Blacksheep Van de Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva or Annecy,head to the starting point of your 3-day weekend in a converted van: Chamonix. A world-renowned city at the foot of Mont Blanc, let yourself be seduced by the must-see spot for mountaineering and hiking lovers.

The breathtaking view of the day is the ascent of the Aiguilles du Midi with the cable car that takes you in 20 minutes to 3777 m altitude with a panoramic view of the Alps.

You can also take a walk in the mountains by following the many itineraries on offer: accessible for beginners and families as well as the more experienced. We recommend the Alpages de Blaitière which starts at the Grépon car park, at the foot of the Aiguille du Midi. This hike takes about 5 hours and will take you to the slopes of Mont Blanc, where you can admire the panorama of the Chamonix Needles and the Sea of Ice.

In the afternoon, you can opt for a more accessible ride to the Cascade du Dard (departure from the Grépon car park), located in the middle of nature, it will offer you a moment of escape and freshness.

Day 2

Second day of road trip and direction Randa for the crossing of the longest suspension bridge in the world: the charles Kuonen Bridge. We promise you a thrilling ride! (To avoid if you are dizzy, it would be a shame to make a discomfort in such a beautiful setting ...)

By guarantor By guarantoring your van in the parking lot of Randa station, go for a hike of 3:30. Follow the marked path to reach the bridge, you will cross the village and you can admire the picturesque chalets. Once on deck, you'll be amazed by the scenery you'll have under your feet and around you!

Then you can take a two-and-a-half hour walk along the 5-lake trail (Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grunsee, Moosjisee, Leisee) to get a stunning view of the famous Mount Matterhorn. You will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos with the reflection of the Mount in the water...

Day 3

For this last day of road trip in campervan ... Take the road to the Aosta Valley,Italy. Take the time to visit the city, which is done on foot without a problem, you can let your van rest before the road back...

Visit the Roman Theatre,the city's must-see place, the mysterious Roman cryptoportico, the praetorian gate, the Arc d'Augustus, the Cathedral of Aosta, the Place Émile Chanoux as well as the Collegiate Saint Bear and its priory.

To end this trip in style, nothing better than a big breath of fresh air in the National Park of the Great Paradise. The picturesque Lillaz waterfall, an easy walk of about 1 hour will offer you a refreshing getaway. The trail goes around the waterfall which allows you to admire it from all angles.

Day 2

Second day of mop, head to the commune of Sixt to discover the circus of the Fer-à-Cheval. Surrounded by imposing limestone cliffs that form a semicircle (hence its name), you can observe the many waterfalls that flow along the walls. At the start of the car park where you can park your van, follow the signs that indicate the "Du Bout du Monde" trail. Very easy to get to, the ride takes about 3 hours and takes you to the top of the world with a stunning view of the valley.

In the afternoon, head to the commune of Martigny and more precisely to Sion,a city rich in history. This city is characterized by the two hills that overlook the city. You can visit the castle of Valère dating from the Middle Ages on the hill of the same name and on the hill of the Tourbillon, you can see the remains of the castle that was destroyed in a fire in the eighteenth century. Then stroll through the old town that retains the charm of a medieval city with small narrow alleys, typical houses, museums ...

Day 3

The itinerary of this third day will take you to Randa for the crossing of the longest suspension bridge in the world: the Charles Kuonen Bridge. We promise you a ride full of sensation ... But to avoid if you are dizzy!

Day 4

Spend the day at Lake Maggiore,Italy's second largest lake and one of Italy's most beautiful lakes.

There are the famous Borromeo Islands which are very appreciated and atypical. To get there, the nearest town is Sestra. There are 5 islands but you can only visit 3:

Isola Bella with the Borromeo Palace, Baroque-style castle
Fishermen's Island, the most picturesque of the islands with its small alleys, its fishermen's houses but also the market
Madre Island with its Renaissance palace and garden

Another must-see in Lake Maggiore is the Villa Taranto botanical garden, which is home to many very rare and exotic species. You can access the garden by van, there is a parking lot at the entrance.

Day 5

Another lake is to be discovered nearby, it is less known but just as charming: Lake Orta. Take the time to stroll through the small streets of the old town with colorful houses. Then you are advised to climb the Sacro Monte d'Orta, a hill that pays homage to St. Francis through 20 chapels. Each place represents a moment in the life of the Saint and is decorated with a fresco as well as numerous terracotta sculptures. At the top of the hill, you will have a stunning view of the lake and the surrounding area.

Then take the road to Biella,a small industrial town in Piedmont. But don't despise yourself, in addition to its wool trade, the city is full of hidden assets dating back to medieval times.

Start by heading to the medieval village of Piazzo to discover the historic district by taking the funicular of the city "Funicolare di Biella" which will take you to the heights to admire the superb view overlooking the city. As you walk, you will come across the Duomo di Biella,the cathedral of Biella. And not far away, you can find the Baptistery built between the 7th and 9th centuries.

There is also the Basilica of Saint Sebastian, a work of Renaissance architecture as well as the Territory Museum which is attached to the building. You can discover the different themes: territory, Egypt, historical art and archaeology.

To end the day, head to Ricetto di Candelo, a 14th-century shelter used to store food and shelter residents in case of danger or attack. It is one of the best preserved shelters in Piedmont, with more than 200 huts that could accommodate the villagers. Let yourself be seduced by the charm of the cobblestone streets as well as the Prince's Palace, a building that stands out from the rest of the city by its height.

Another special feature of Candelo is the museum built into the basement that reveals the secrets of wine making.

Day 6

For this penultimate day road trip in campervan, nothing better than a big breath of fresh air at the National Park of the Grand Paradis, the oldest park in Italy. This park is renowned for its commitment to the protection of ibex, which can be found during hikes.

As the name suggests, it is a true paradise for nature lovers, whether on foot, or by bike, simple family walk or more difficult hike, you will find the route that suits you: you will probably find your happiness in this list.

For example, you are offered a hike of about 4 hours, at the Gimillan's departure to the St. Marcel's Pass,you will have the opportunity to cross the alpine pastures to see the ibex, then you can cool off at the Coronas Lake before reaching the pass from where you will have a stunning view of the Mount Matterhorn.

To end the day quietly, head to the picturesque Lillaz waterfall. It's an easy walk of about 1 hour from the city that will offer you a refreshing getaway. The trail goes around the waterfall which allows you to admire it from all angles.

Day 7

For this last day of road trip in campervan ... Visit the Aosta Valleyin Italy. Take the time to visit the city, which is done on foot without a problem, you can let your van rest before the road back...

For wine lovers, don't hesitate to follow the wine route to discover the wines of Gran Paradiso, Monte Emilius or Mont Blanc and admire the vineyards. You can then discover the secrets of the region's wealth with the history of the territory, the vineyards and the process of creating these wines. Do not hesitate to make wine tastings and bring back bottles in memory of this road trip in van (alcohol consumption is dangerous for health, to consume in moderation).
