Day 1: Visit Toulon and Hyères

We start this roadtrip from Toulon with a visit to the city. A must visit place in Toulon: Mount Faron to go hiking or a short walk and admire the view of the surroundings. Also take the opportunity to take a short boat tour for a tour of the harbor to know the maritime history of Toulon with breathtaking panoramas.
If you are interested in museums, we recommend the Museum of History of Toulon and its region to discover the history of the territory (free of charge) as well as the Museum of the Navy and the history of the port. Take a tour in the city center with the port, the historic center, the market of cours Lafayette ... But also at the edge of the coastline between the coves, the pines and the cliff.

In the afternoon, direction Hyères which is famous for its landscapes and seascapes. For lovers of nature and water activities, the bay of Hyères is a small paradise between kayaking, kitesurfing or paddle!
To see in the city of Hyères:
- The ramparts: historical remains of the ancient fortress of the city in medieval times.
- The castle of Hyères: it dominates the hill with a breathtaking view of the surroundings with the sea.
- The Templar Tower, which can be visited today and houses exhibitions. It is a witness of the past of the Knights Templar in the twelfth and thirteenth century.
- The archaeological remains of Olbia: you can understand the evolution of the city, the ancient fortifications, the streets, the thermal baths ...

Day 2: the island of Porquerolles and Bormes-les-Mimosas

On the program this morning: the visit of theisland of Porquerolles. It is an island that looks like a little paradise, it is only a few minutes by boat from Hyères. You will find varied landscapes with the south of the island, cliffs and sandy beaches to the north.
Small recap then of things to see on theisland of Porquerolles:
- Battery of the Medes, pleasant walk to explore the tip of the island and visit the old military site.
- The beach Notre Dame (the best known and one of the most beautiful), the beach of Argent, the beach of Langoustier.
- The lighthouse of Porquerolles was built in 1830, it is one of the most mythical lighthouses of the Mediterranean. From there you will have a panorama of the sea.
- The different forts: Sainte-Agathe, Alycastre, Grand Langoustier, Repentance
- The church of Sainte-Anne: former military chapel, you will find a small treasure. A soldier engraved in wood the fourteen stations of the Way of the Cross.
- Hiking: circuit of the forts, circuit of the ridges, hike of the water and the path of the landscapes.
- Moulin du Bonheur: typical Provencal windmill, it has been restored identically and it is now possible to visit it.

Continue your roadtrip from Toulon and head to Bormes-les-Mimosas: one of the most beautiful villages in France and represented by mimosa. This village makes tourists and locals proud during flowering with the scents of pines and mimosas. To visit this pretty village, do not hesitate to stroll through the small alleys and cuberts (covered passages typical of Bormes). This is an opportunity to stop in the markets to discover the local and Provencal flavors: Wednesday morning in St. Francis Square and Saturday in the Bavarian district. To end the day, you can go around the wine route and visit the estates with Château Malherbe, domaine de la Sanglière or Domaine des Campaux.

Day 3: Massif de la Sainte-Baume and Cassis

For this last day of roadtrip from Toulon,we plan you a little change of scenery ... If you like hiking, you can not miss the Massif de la Sainte-Baume. There are many hiking trails for all levels. You will find a mixture of Mediterranean vegetation but also many trees. The place is rich in religious heritage: the presence of Mary Magdalene, the Egg Cave ...
Go hiking to The Sainte-Baume following the path of the royal way. You will discover the forest and the calm of the massif.

In the afternoon, stop at Cassis. Our must-sees to visit:
- Strolling on the port of Cassis: one of the places you must absolutely visit in Cassis. It is the perfect place to have a drink, eat, walk around or shop.
- The Calanque de Cassis (Port-Miou), you will have a magnificent view of the surroundings with turquoise water and the wooden pontoon passing between the boats.
- Cassis market: to find local and tasty products! It is held every Wednesday and Friday morning, place Baragnon.
- Clos Sainte Magdeleine: one of the oldest wineries in the region, it faces the sea and gives an exceptional view. If you opt for a tour of the place, you can enjoy tasty tastings.
- Learn about scuba diving at the Lighthouse of Cassidaigne to admire the richness of the marine environment!
Finally, return quietly to Toulon to make your van furnished ...

Day 1: Visit Toulon and La Ciotat

Ciotat

At La Ciotat, stop at the Mugel Park, also "remarkable garden" for a nature break with the 12 hectares of land. You can admire many plant species including a bamboo grove, cacti, aromatic plants and tropical plants. Enjoy the view at the top or at the foot of the Bec de l'Aigle, with turquoise water and cliffs!
Then, stroll through the old center of la Ciotat to discover the atmosphere of the city, with the many monuments witnessing the past. Like the Chapel of Our Lady of the Guard. If you are intéressé.es by the shipyards, you can visit the House of Shipbuilding with photos, films, models ...

The Sainte-Baume mountain, in Provence

Day 2: Massif de la Sainte Baume and Cassis

Start the day of this second day of roadtrip from Toulon with the full fresh air. If you like hiking, you can't miss the Massif de la Saint-Baume. There are many hiking trails for all levels. Day 3: Hyères and Porquerolles

Day 4: Port-Cros and Bormes les Mimosas

Today, we continue in the islands towards Port Cros. It is one of the best preserved islands of the Golden Islands. It is a great place to go diving or snorkelling but also to walk and land on one of the three beaches (the south beach, the palud beach and the port-man beach). Do not hesitate to follow the different trails you will find to travel the island and the different landscapes it can offer you. Bormes

Continue your roadtrip from Toulon and head to Bormes-les-Mimosas: one of the most beautiful villages in France. Port Grimaud

Day 5: Port Grimaud and Saint Tropez

Today, start in Grimaud, a charming village marked by its medieval past. Discover its richness and heritage:
- Port Grimaud, like a little air of Venice
- The different trails such as the discovery trail of the Bridge of the Fairies
- The cobbled streets of the city
- The different museums: Museums of Arts and Popular Traditions
- The ruins of the castle where you will see a panorama of the surroundings including the Gulf of Saint-Tropez
- The Church of St. Michael, with a simple but original architecture. It is lined with glass stained glass windows as well as many murals.
- The Moulin Saint Roch, it is also called the Moulin de la Gardiole. It is not in operation today but it is open to visits.

Take a tour to the citadel of Saint-Tropez with the maritime museum of Saint-Tropez, the famous beach of Pampelonne, the castle of La Moutte, Cap Camarat (accessible by the path of the customs officers) with its lighthouse or the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. You will also discover the different towers: Portalet, Vieille, Suffren and its ruins and Jarlier. The Church of Our Lady of the Ascension, built in the eighteenth century with an Italian Baroque style with its bell tower and the bust of Saint Tropez, protector of sailors and the city. The Museum of the Annonciade, where you can admire works of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries by several artists such as Paul Signac, Braque or Matisse.

Sainte-Maxime

Day 6: Sainte Maxime and Massif Esterel

For this penultimate day of roadtrip from Toulon,start the morning in Sainte-Maxime with:
- The Botanical Garden of the Myrtes is a real pocket of oxygen with the many Mediterranean plants that are there. From saw palmetto to chilean coconut palm, arbutus or myrtle, you will make many discoveries!
- Markets for fresh and local products or the night market for crafts.
- The tip of the Sardinaux, nicknamed the Little Corsica, this peninsula is the perfect place to relax. You will see a mixture of sandy beach, crustaceans, shells and pines that will delight young and old.
- The marine trail at the pointe des Sardinaux: accessible in complete autonomy, you can follow the markings with your masks and snorkels to discover the marine richness of the pointe des Sardinaux (fish and vegetation).

Then stop in the Massif de l'Esterel to take a nature break. Stroll inland and immerse yourself in the Provencal atmosphere with Cap Dramont and its coastal path. Go to the semaphore from where you will have the best point of view of the hike with a panorama of the Mediterranean coasts. There is also the peak of Mount Vinegar, the highest point of the massif. Finally, you can also take one of the trails to lead you to Cap Roux. This massif can be visited both on foot and by hiking as by mountain bike on the trails.
Another alternative: follow the Organic Path of scents and enjoy a magnificent panorama of the sea and the surrounding area. At the end of the day, pick up your van and go through the Corniche d'Or, a landscaped road along the seaside. You can admire the red rocks of Esterel mixed with the blue of the Mediterranean Sea.

Village_de_Callian

Day 7: Callian and Grasse

Last day of roadtrip from Toulon,start the day in Callian.
The village is built all around the castle, which makes the architecture very original. Enjoy being able to visit the village on foot. Take the time to discover the historical monuments, the spiral alleys and the century-old houses. But above all, do not miss the castle of Callian, surely the most beautiful monument of the village.

Fat

Finally, finish this road trip with the visit of Grasse, world capital of perfumery! The places we advise you to go see:
- Vieux Grasse, the heart of this small Provencal town with its narrow houses and orange colors
- Perfumery Fragonard, Galimard and Molinard
- Grotte Saint-Césaire, enjoy a guided tour of the cave, stroll on the discovery trail or the tree climbing circuit
- The perfumery museum to discover the history and universe of perfumery over time.
